SEVMEK ZAMANI (TIME TO LOVE)

Ugur Becer’s art project Sevmek Zamanı VR which is first exhibited in Istanbul Maker Faire 2017. The visitors experienced a scene in VR goggles from the cult Turkish movie Sevmek Zamanı (Time to Love), where the protagonist confesses that he is in love with a woman’s photo. Viewers are invited to draw parallels between the scene and society’s current relationship with media, particularly as media becomes more realistic and consuming. The original scene was recreated and adapted into VR after a long process of shooting, modelling, compositing and editing.
