UGUR BECER
He was born and raised in Turkey, where he graduated from Ege University. He moved to New York to continue his education. He took filmmaking classes at New York University. After he had finished the program, he got accepted to MFA Cinematography Program in New York Film Academy. His skills and works have been appreciated by the school so that he was awarded with a grant for this program. While studying he directed and DOPed various commercials, music videos and TV programs.
The films which he worked as a Director Of Photography, were selected in many international film festivals including Toronto Film Festival, London Film Festival and Istanbul film Festival.
In 2018, he was selected to Berlinale Talents Program as a cinematographer for Sarajevo Film Festival.
One of his films (Endless) won Reel 13 short film contest and was aired on PBS Thirteen a most viewed public television of USA. He also shot some music videos with the celebrity fashion designer Stevie Boi and the fashion model Rick Genest (aka Zombie Boy).
He is based in Istanbul now.
He is a cofounder/CEO of the VR Studio called XOVR .
